Spring Foraging Workshop & Feast
A slow, seasonal day on the farm — gathering, cooking and eating from the land around us.
Join us this spring as we head out into the surrounding woods, hedgerows and meadows to explore what’s growing wild. Guided by experienced foragers, you’ll learn how to spot edible plants, fungi and early spring ingredients, and begin to see the landscape through a different lens.
This isn’t a long hike — we keep things local and unhurried, stopping often to look, taste and talk. You’ll come away with practical knowledge you can actually use, from safe identification to simple ways of bringing wild food into your own kitchen.
As we go, we’ll gather ingredients for lunch. Back at the farm, these are transformed into a relaxed, seasonal three-course feast, with a short cooking demonstration along the way. Expect simple, thoughtful dishes that let the ingredients speak, enjoyed overlooking the South Downs.
The day also includes a hands-on workshop inspired by what’s at its best right now — from fermentation and preservation to teas, remedies or mushroom-focused sessions. No two workshops are quite the same, as everything follows the season.
What’s included
– A guided foraging walk (approx. 3 hours)
– Led by two experienced foragers
– Cooking demonstration using your finds
– A seasonal three-course feast
– Herbal tea or something chilled, depending on the day
– A one-hour seasonal workshop
– A jar of something to take home
– Time to ask questions and learn more
– A digital recipe pack to revisit at home
Location
Held on and around the farm, set within the South Downs National Park. Full details and what to bring will be sent out by email a couple of days before.
